Connections

Connections: “linked, or interrelated, a means of communication”.  Or “attachment, bond”.

When we create artwork, we link, or bond ideas, fabrics, color, threads and other elements to create a piece of artwork.  Using our skills and knowledge, we construct and entwine the parts into a whole and express a theme.  This artwork has never existed before and is an entirely unique creation.  We communicate with our art, sharing ideas in textile in an unlimited way.

The purpose of an art show is to connect our art with others who are interested in viewing it, and who want to experience the thoughts and feelings of the artists.

FRCQ was approached by a faith-based community,  St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Highlands Ranch, who will host an exhibit of our work.  The building is large, light-filled, and a great venue.  Average attendance on Sunday is 1000 people, weekdays average 300, and they normally get sales.  St. Andrews will advertise the show and create signage.

There are no size requirements or limitations, and multiple entries are encouraged as this is a large building with a lot of wall space.  There is a small glass case with space for small 3D artwork.
