Rose Legge Mixed Media Techniques for Textiles

“I began my art journey in the rainy Pacific Northwest.  My mother, knowing my siblings and I needed lots of indoor activities, always kept a bowl of modeling clay, pencils and paints on a shelf next to the kitchen table.  Children are naturally creative – it didn’t take much more than that to start me down the path to an art life!

As an adult I did freelance illustration and later on, after moving to Colorado, I taught art to elementary age children.
Now after discovering how much I love combining art with fabric and stitch, I write articles for magazines like Quilting Arts and Art Quilting Studio.  I’m also currently working on a book, and hope to publish it towards the end of 2021.  I’ve shown my work regionally and nationally as well as in internationally traveling group shows.”
