Art Talk:  Jo Fitsell – Connecting with Intuition as a Creative Source

Date/Time: March 9, 2019, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Revive your creative energy and exercise your senses in this one-of-a-kind inspirational talk with fun exercises. Each student will be invited to reconnect with the inborn tools of the true artist and learn to identify obstacles such as over-thinking.  Jo will help students define Intuition (through discussion and poetry) and learn ways of honoring it.  Students will be given exercises that awaken the sense of touch and how it is connected to art making; the sense of smell and taste will also be explored.  Jo will also discuss the difference between self expression and pure expression and the importance of play as a springboard into more disciplined work.  Students will be given a playful exercise and share the experience.
