L. Scott Farmer Profile Page

About the Artist
L. Scott Farmer is a fiber artist who creates art quilts and hand-painted rope and fabric-wrapped bowls. While creating fine woodworking and stained glass artistry, he was drawn to the creative possibilities offered by fiber. His first works in fiber art was to explore the uses of cloth in contemporary and art quilt-making. The freedom of design, the range of color, and the variety of fiber options soon led him to develop his own quilt designs.
Scott’s first quilt, “Clara’s Garden” was shown at the 2009 Blanket Golden Exhibit, and won second place in the Viewer’s Choice Awards. In 2010, his flowing, curvilinear quilt, “Pschyedelia #1”, was accepted at The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum’s exhibit “Wrangler Among Us”, an all male quilter show.
