The desire to create has been the main driving force of my life. Responding to other people, to places (both natural and manmade), to shape, movement and texture has provided inspiration for my fabric art and mixed media pieces. The thrill of the simplest thing caught on camera brought into a studio full of every imaginable thing can tease me into creating a new piece of art. I love combining techniques, ideas, and materials. The surprises in dyeing fabric, the layering created by silk-screening, stamping, stenciling, and color resist combined with the traditional techniques of sewing,stitching and painting provide limitless opportunities for learning and growth.
