About the Artist
As an ongoing watercolor artist who has experimented with pottery, jewelry, sewing, and various types of painting all my life, I am intrigued with color. Fused machine appliqué’ is my love, so I have a need to create and express with fabric and thread. I am drawn to images of nature.
I constantly try new techniques with bright, bold colors, couching, trapunto, thread pulling, raw edge and satin stitch machine appliqué’, machine piecing, and embellishing. I implement many types of textile dyeing, fabric stamping, and hand painting.
