About the Artist
Dorothy began sewing in grade school and never saw a piece of fabric without thinking what it could be turned into. Making her own clothes soon became a way of life, through college, law school and life as a corporate attorney. Her days of making tailored suits are over; Dorothy now enjoys making casual t-shirts, traditional quilts, and free motion embroidery pieces. Now practicing law part-time, seeking clients in the corporate, antitrust, and intellectual property areas, Dorothy savors her time creating pieces of fiber art.
Textile appliqué, using free motion embroidery techniques. Pieces range from abstract studies of color and texture to three-dimensional landscapes.
